WSAQ709
Hello folks, I recently discovered that i had my Duplexer backwards... I had the receiver in low and the transmit on high. How do you know if it's damaged? This is the duplexer.. https://www.buytwowayradios.com/xlt-dp-gmrs-50.html?fee=5&fep=5322&utm_source=google_shopping&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=product_ppc&matchtype=&keyword=&device=c&adposition=&network=g&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwqpSwBhClARIsADlZ_Tm3ht6u9wrpcsToPa1QJOD0QObAvnf9wSRa0YdlC52i4tnVNFwutGsaAlsxEALw_wcB
0 gortex2
You dont without a VNA. If you have better TX audio thru it your probably fine. Being out of tune would casue issues on your radio before the duplexer. The proper way to verify tuning and damage with with a VNA
0 nokones
You may need to check the plastic inserts in each antenna/cavity port. I believe the XLT Duplexer is one of those cheap duplexers that are susceptible to the insert being burned out easily by RF. Indeed it is - i have burned out a couple of them even though i was transmitting well below the rated wattage.
