WSBB368 Posted March 30 Report Posted March 30 I just exported the repeater list for california "chirp" and imported it in chirp i noticed that alot of repeaters have the "s" skip function on them are these repeaters not working? or permission only? was wondering why they had the "s" function see attached Quote
OffRoaderX Posted March 30 Report Posted March 30 "Skip" means that if you enabled scanning on your radio those channels will be "skipped" during the scan. As to why it's there or who put it there: Nobody can answer that, and it does not matter WRHS218 and WSBB368 2 Quote

rdunajewski Posted April 1 Report Posted April 1 They are skipped during scan by default since there's no output tone. Any activity on the channel will cause the scan to stop and what you're hearing may or may not be that repeater anyway. This way, if you get the tone information, you already have the channel programmed, you can set up the tones and add to the scan list, and you're off to the races.
