  2. RT Systems is SO easy to use, a Caveman can do it !
  3. I Failed as soon as I saw it !
  4. Today
  5. I'm testing my will power. Timing how long I can go without laughing at @PRadio's Midland page . Well crap, that didn't last long.
  6. I used my 220 radio twice today
  7. What? Rt systems and chirp are the most simple easy to use programming softwares out there. It’s just no one wants to learn. They are so easy my 10 year old grand kids use them all the time. It’s like saying driving a stick is hard but millions of people every day do it with no problem. Geesh some people are so lazy.
  8. The RT Systems CPS is another "Less Than Simple" programming software application just as that "Less Than Simple" programming software application called Chirp. With Kenwood proprietary CPS, at least there are only two tone/code settings, one for receive (decode) and one transmit (encode) in the CPS. With Motorola, you have to tell it CSQ for no tone/code, PL, or DPL and then select the appropriate tone/code for receive (Decode); and and I believe it is None, PL, or DPL and then select the appropriate tone/DPL for transmit (Encode).
  9. Yesterday
  10. Turn it into Wouxun support. Maybe it’s unintentional and they’ll fix it in a firmware update.
  11. IF you turn your volume all the way down, then make your area change you won't hear the beep, but otherwise it's engineered to be what it is. Using an earpiece during hunting or Stealth activity is a just a suggestion.
  12. Those who Bully, receive it in return X10 !
  13. What I saw was someone asking for help, then getting irate and cocky with those trying to help. And for a change it was actually enjoyable to see SoCal go off on someone.
  14. You guys just love to come together and Bully someone!
  15. Ok. BMS = battery maintenance system. Hard to keep up with acronyms sometimes thanks.
  16. The 935G non-plus and the UV8H do not make any noises for area change or scan or any other button press if keypad beep is off. But the plus models do, well the 935H which as I said I call the UV8H+. Seems like it's just that way and gonna have to live with it. I guess it's only an annoyance most of the time, can't have it during hunting but I really only need one area during hunting so it wouldn't come into play.
  17. I would say it's something in the KG-935 firmware as it doesn't matter if you have the G or H models or if it's the regular or plus models. I can say that the KG-Q10H does not beep when turning on or changing areas when you have the beep turned off in the menu. I don't have a KG-Q10G to test but I am willing to bet it will be the same as the KG-Q10H I checked my KG-XS20G Plus and it does not beep when turning on or changing the area. I checked since the menu and screen are the same as the KG-935G
  18. You can’t unless you’re a premium member. Don’t worry about it though. T-sql requires a tone on receive. Tone doesn’t. You can hear a repeater in T-sql IFF (IFF = if and only if) you have the correct rx tone programmed. If you use Tone you will hear everything on a frequency, regardless of if it includes a tone.
  19. I’m sorry I cannot give you the trophy and the laughing emoji both!
  20. I don't own this radio, but I have other Wouxun radios and they make noises on some functions, even with key beep off. For example, my KG-935G+ beeps when I initiate a channel scan, if I recall correctly.
  21. If you are replying to my post, you didn't read the pertinent part of the manual I posted. Look at the bottom for the IMPORTANT message.
  22. The KG-935G Plus does the same thing. Mine beeps at startup and when changing the area. And yes the beep is turned off in the menu.
  23. I found my answer. What I can't find is how to delete my post.... Jeff
  24. No mention of inverted codes. And all that needs to be done in a CPS, no chance of doing it through the radio, right?
  25. Yeah I don't like the power on noise either, but that one is easy to get around as your hand is already on the volume knob and I've gotten in the habit of just cracking it on, waiting 1s, then turning it up to normal volume so I never hear that. The UV8H has the power on music as well. The area change is different as you kinda need two hands to move the volume down, hit area, move volume back up. I doubt there will be a KG-935H+ as it's already the "plus" to the UV8H. They do change firmware over time though, you can see it in Chirp->settings->OEM Info pane mine is 935HV2.01 . I've seen this number change on the two UV8H's i've ordered about a year apart, one came with 1.03 and the other one a year later with 1.04 although I don't notice any difference, but there may be some bug that was corrected. Yes it's a great radio. The UV8H is a great radio and has been my main HT for several years. I wasn't gonna get a 935H but I was ordering an antenna and some connectors to fix my beam antenna coax a squirrel chewed up and somehow that 935H just slipped into my cart.
  26. Unfortunately it seems the volume knob is your only option on this. I've just got into the habit of using that. I agree it's a bit loud and unnecessary. We are not the only ones that think this and the start up tone are a bit much. If I was guessing they'll change this in the Plus model should one come out. I would hope anyway. Other than that I like this radio.
  27. And it's Socal with the Wouxun bash. BIG surprise. Nobody saw that coming. I'd have bet my next paycheck in Vegas but they don't take bets on your responding with a Wouxun bash because odds are 100%. At least your consistent with your unhelpful comments! Go ahead add it to your list of Phantom Wouxun/midland/baofang/yeasu/icom/motorola/tid/retevis/btech/anytone/brand X/brand Y/brandZ "problems" because we all know that the only radio you approve of is the one you have because nobody else could possibly make a radio that meets your demanding specifications...oh wait..I forgot, you don't actually own any radios because mommy took them away due to incessant SOS calling didn't she?
