  1. No, net control is not a control station.
  2. I like the screen invert feature of this radio. At first I didn't think I would ever use it. But where I mounted the radio, my right knee kept hitting the mic cable. Turning the radio over fixed that problem.
  3. @TerriKennedy just curious, what programming language did you use?
  4. Are you suggesting this for the sake of a magnet mount or for the sake of a ground plane? It looks to me like the tool box is using an through hole mount in which case ferrous metal isn't needed. And for ground plane, aluminum works just fine.
  5. Yep, just look at it wrong and it dents.
  6. Howdy. Also from Texas. Been wanting to do Big Bend National and Big Bend Ranch State parks myself. Let us know how it goes.
  7. @Destro Congratulations!
  8. Well, I certainly agree with this.
  9. Don't forget to check out the AnyTone 778UV while you're at it.
  10. @jfelter welcome to GMRS. Lots of fun and good info here. A little drama once in a while but don't let that run you off. There's a lot of good people here.
  11. If you get into CW, you have space on 15, 40, and 80 as well.
  12. I made a mistake once. I bought an eraser. Waste of money.
  13. Just to explain what Steve is talking about, this is called "desense." The two radios are so close that the transmitting radio causes the receive radio to go deaf to the signal from the repeater.
