gmrs Audio Player to Radio for morse code CW station identifier.

True, and Also the Call sign of the repeater owner must be transmitted as well, either manually or with the help of a Controller. -
Ok, thanks for that Steve. I'll look at #51 and see if it makes any difference. My 935 H has a real obvious tail, even with the squelch up to 9.
-
On a different note, Can you tell me if the 935G has a Mic Gain setting Or a Squelch tail setting in the menu ? I'm curious, because it's two features I wish they would have included in the 935H. Two different radios, I know but still similar.

I don’t think Midland radios are very good.

I Tried to sleep with mine, but it's just too lumpy and tries to throw me out of bed ! I woke up in the morning with the mic cord around my neck ! -

After about two weeks using my 935H, I've tried to Nitpick faults or manufacturing oversights of it and have only compiled a few so far. 1. I have not found a mic gain setting in the menu anywhere. Wouxun could have omitted the Scramble feature for a mic gain. However, on a good note is seems to have Plenty of gain as is, on all 3 bands, so not a deal breaker. 2. The power supply uses a barrel connector on the Charging cradle and a wall wart to power it, where as USB-C would have been nicer ... But on the other hand I've noticed the the wall wart supplies enough current while charging the radio, that you Can still power the radio, and even Scan while in the cradle and Still charge the battery. My Yaesu FT70 won't allow it, during charge. 3. No Zone option on the 935H, but can be be dealt with by some programming voodoo. 4. No Bluetooth programming on the fly option, but then again, Not many on the market have this option yet. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with it so far. I purchased the premium data cable and a Second battery for it as well. buytwowayradios.com asked me to review it, so I probably will.

Welcome to the insanity...

Reset the radio, and try again. Mine is Flawless.

Unfortunately call sign has to be given in English. But you could use Morse code as an alternative to English phone identification. I was referring to this comment... ^

If a CWID is allowed to identify a Repeater, then Why wouldn't CW be allowed to identify a Call sign ?
-
Simpler mistakes have been made over Fakebook, telling your friends you're going on Vaca and announcing it to the whole world, but those Listening as well as reading need to be kept in the DARK.
-
Not necessarily. When you travel, do you travel Together or in separate vehicles? IF you travel out of the Area where you live, then set up a schedule or time that you will call her and keep your transmission short and to the point then Wait 10 minutes before you give your call sign. Also use LOW power when your close, and maybe use the interstitial channels instead of Repeaters. Or stay Silent until you are almost Home. IF you are Bilingual, you can give your Call sign in Another language too. There's no rule that states your Call has to given in English.

National Radio Appreciation Day ! Febuary 13th. 2025
Jaay replied to Jaay's topic in Amateur Radio (Ham)
The IPC-610 course and a SMD soldering station makes this child's play. The cost is the IC and the amount of time your hot air station is up. -
Me, Me, Me !

Amatuer Radio Newsline wants to remind Everyone that 2/13/2025 is Love your Radio Day !!

Buytwowayradios also has a Optional 3200 mah Battery that Does work on the 935G/H but requires the charge cradle, since there's not a USB-C port on those.

Motorola xpr mobiles and programming software
Jaay replied to VETCOMMS's question in Technical Discussion
CPS2.0 from a Motorola user account is what you need. -
knowledgeable group of people for sure. Nope, No magic touch here, and definitely not a Guru, but over time I've learned some of the anytone madness and workarounds with their Cps. The Sat tracking I have no use for on the 878's and No use for the new 168 talkie either.
-
I have a 878UV Plus with bluetooth and gps, and Not a bit of issue with it . I also have the 578UV Pro and no issues with it Or the Cps. Both radios are the original firmware. The trick with these, is NOT to update the damn firmware every time a new revision comes out, Unless it's a bug fix and is Proven to solve the issue. I've had Anytones for 6 years, and numerous Dmr radios, and everyone has issues with them, but me. Get a FIRM understanding of the Cps and anytone's software, that's the key !

My Yaesu FT 991A for Ham activities, my Kenwood TK-880 for Gmrs, and my Yaesu FT 70D if I'm on foot, among Others.

Did you figure out your ANI dilemma yet? We explained this to you on radioreference.com or at least I thought we did ? Recheck the responses to you over there.
-
Just curious, but did you do these measurements into a dummy load, or a Antenna ? I'm also considering a 935H.
-
I'm also considering a 935H, but I guess I'm waiting for more reviews on it first. I see there's also a Optional 3200mah battery for it too !

Go with RT Systems software. Yes it costs a little, but it just works flawlessly. Chirp is free, sketchy software for radios you don't care if you brick.
