Amazon has a limited time deal on Baofeng AR-5RM 's. $20 even for 1. Or 2 for $38. Just bought the 2 pack. Now I'll have 4. These supplies are still in the states.

I'm looking for a HT that has scannable banks or groups if you will. My AR-5rm allows me to select which channels I want to scan, usually programmed by CHIRP. However, it's not convenient to change which ones to scan out in the "field". I would like something that has multiple groups or banks that I can set to scan on the fly. Like, if I'm scanning all channels on bank 1, then decide to scan bank 2 instead, I could easily switch with a button push or two. I'm sure something like that has to exist. I'm just not having much luck finding one in my searches. Does anyone here have a recommendation?

It is sad. And I don't know why I feel so bad for him. He's obviously doing it to himself. But I don't think people a genuinely born this way. Unless he has extreme Asperger's and just rejects whatever doesn't make sense to him. Something tells me he's been hurt bad. It drives me nuts to see people obviously trying to be social but failing at it. Maybe I'm the one not right in the head for hoping that there is more to SoCal than what is displayed here. But since we're all on this spinning rock, so they say, together... how about you tell us about what you DO like. What radios do you use? Why do you choose them. Not everyone is out to get you. At least I'm not.

I love my Apache case. I use it for all my YouTube camera gear. It's been down river in a heavy thunderstorm, soaked to the bone. Not a drop inside.

I'm looking for a device to easily and accurately measure SWR. What recommendations do you all have, and why.

I've recently found a great use for our radios. Once in a while I like to use my phone to do livestreams on our YouTube channel. There have been times when Katie has called me while in the middle of the stream, asking for me to bring her a beer. Well, as soon as my phone rings the livestream instantly ends. Now that we have switched to radio comms, I no longer have to march into the house and throw a beer at her. Instead we now have cute pet names for each other, and less beer-soaked holes in the wall... (I have terrible aim)
