What was the flaws? I am curious because I also have KG-905G and wondering if it has the same flaws that you discovered or if it the fixed one.

You don't have to re-type all text. Copy all text from your post and paste it in Notepad. Go edit your post on the forum, delete all text, copy all your text from Notepad and paste it in the EDIT window. Copying from Notepad and pasting into EDIT window should remove all formatting. PS. Ha ha. I see you already fixed your font while I was typing reply.

I have UV9G. I took a quick look at 935G. Two quick differences: UV9G has three PF buttons, 935G - two PF buttons UV9G is pre-programmed for about 900 channels for SHTF scenario (as SHTF scanner), 935G - only pre-programmed for 30 GMRS channels

@TOM47 No problem. Sorry to hear that. We had one director at my college (now retired) and he was almost and legally blind. He used Jaws to read text himself when he could and also Jaws reading text to him. Have you tried any assistive technology? I am sure there is some technology out there that can help you to type and see.

Call signs are visible to the whole world. And call sign is linked to the page that shows real name and address of the forum user.

That's why I setup my 905G in the car as mobile radio, using battery eliminator that plugged into cigarette lighter, connected to mag mount antenna that sits on the trunk, and with Wouxun mobile style speaker/microphone plugged in. Works great.

Yes, it is a little clunky compare to 805G and UV9G.

Thanks for suggestion. But the problem is that other good insert is not good and screw is too long. So, I ordered two kits from Amazon and will replace both inserts like Landshark did. Thanks for the info, Landshark. Now, the question is: where did you get new brass nut insert and a guide to solve the problem? -

Thanks Michael. I will contact BSR. -
I received my KG-UV9G today. I did the same thing with CHIRP using the KG-UV9D Plus profile and it worked. But I did not write back to the radio, did not want to brick it like I did with 805G. Then I installed KG-UV9G software 64-bit. But it was crashing when I tried to perform any function. Then I uninstalled it and installed KG-UV9G software 32 bit and it works on Windows 10 64 bit. PS Just downloaded from the radio to software. Edited few settings. Wrote back to the radio. It worked.
