The Midland MXTA26 has a good reputation and is on sale for ~$40 right now.  It’s an NMO mount antenna, but you also need to buy a base and cable for it.  Probably the most common base folks get for it is a magnetic mount.  I got the MXTA12 from Midland for that.  I think it’s about $30, but it was a Christmas gift, so I’m not certain.

Yes, although I have no direct experience with the KG-935g; but it works better than my "ducky" antennas.
Whenever I put my Diamond 771 on any of my HTs (Ham or GMRS), I always get better coverage.
The Nagoya is better tuned to GMRS; as the Diamond is tuned to Ham 2 meters and 70 cms.

For me it worked very very well, I am super happy with this antenna (it seems much better than the one which the Btech GMRS Pro came with)

I believe this suggestion is incorrect and should be ignored by the OP.
Although I do not have the Wouxun KG-935g to test in CHIRP, my understanding is that Channels 20 - 22 for this radio are SIMPLEX channels and hence using them to gain access to any repeater will fail.
It looks to me that you have correctly programmed your radio for those three repeaters.
Take a Ride on the Reading Railroad; do NOT pass GO and do NOT collect $200, ? but as you get closer to these repeaters, you should be able to hear their "repeater tails" when you "kerchunk" your radio, by holding down the transmit button for about 2 seconds and then letting go.
When you hear the tail, you can then transmit, ID yourself and ask if anyone is hearing your signal.
It is possible, but unlikely, that they have one or more of these repeaters set to no tail, and you would then hear nothing when you kerchunk your radio.
PS: You should now delete the DeLand Repeater access Tone from your original post, so that you are not publishing here an unlisted, permission required Tone.

On many of these radios "TONE" mode means it only sends the tone, but does not check for that tone on receive. ToneSQL means it both sends and expects to receive the tone (why so many editors use separate columns for specifying the actual tone based on mode I will never understand).
Leaving the mode in TONE means you should hear all traffic on the frequency, so you can confirm the repeater is accessible. Later you can change to ToneSQL (and put the tone into the other column) to block out non-repeater traffic on the frequency (make sure to test before finalizing the configuration).
And has been mentioned, repeaters need a +5.0MHz offset.

The only difference between a simplex channel and a repeater channel is that the repeater channel TRANSMITS on 467.xxxMHz rather than 462.xxxMHz-- both are receiving on 462.xxxMHz.

Stupid idiotization of radios: in the old days one didn't have separate simplex and repeater channels, one had ONE channel and a front-panel button that toggled simplex/duplex (and maybe a reverse button to temporarily let one hear the repeater input frequency -- you you could hear the other party you were close enough to use simplex).

BINGO!!!  You found the solution, thank you.  As soon as I disabled the weather alert this behavior stopped.
    Many many thanks!! ??

Does the 935g do weather alerts? If so, when on it stops scanning every 10-15 seconds to check the weather channel for the alert tone, and it isn't actually stopping on the channel it shows.

I don't have the 935, but try turning up the squelch; if it is too low, it might be opening up for just noise.

In CHIRP, just under Memories in the upper left hand corner, see if there is a Settings Mode and within that, an Advanced Settings and if, when clicked, there is an option to change the ID line from Wouxun KG-935G to WRVE426.
Otherwise you might have to use the Wouxun software for those types of settings.

I don't see any entry in the software where one may enter short text/call sign for display.
You may have to go into the Windows device manager, find the COM device being used by the radio, and manually change it to be COM1. At least for the Wouxun software, which seems to lock on COM1 and ghost any selection choices. CHIRP might be able to use whatever COM# the cable was assigned by Windows, but you will have to track that down.

    1) On the repeater channel - Tune to that channel then go into the CTCS/DCS RX and TX setting - it will save the tones to the channel you're on - OR do it in the software (much easier that way)
    2) IIRC, you can only do this in the software - IF you can do it at all. Some radios let you change it, others dont (I play with too many different radios to remember which ones do/dont allow it)
    3) See what @wrci350already posted

I'd suspect those are for a VFO scan, rather than channel scan.

Didn't see any option either -- it seems the scan function is just optimized to identify active channels/frequencies (in the case of a VFO/frequency scan, it appears you can save the frequency when it pauses).
No carrier operated, time-out operated, or one-shot (stop of first active channel) settings

WRVE426 reacted to Sab02r in Six questions about scanning and frequencies on the Btech GMRS Pro
First and foremost, please let me say that I do not own a BTech GMRS Pro.  I am getting this information from an online manual linked below.  I am sorry I couldn't do more to help aside from quoting the manual.
My understanding is that there is an App available to allow you to configure the radio using your smartphone or tablet, which may be easier to manage than trying to build a channel list using only the buttons on the face of the radio. See online manual linked below for more information:
Page 20:  "Using The App While the App is connected to the radio, it will have full control. To use the controls on the radio, disconnect the app. Pairing Your Cellphone/Tablet to the Radio 1) Open the app, Turn-on the radio, then press the orange key twice OR scroll to [Pairing] in the menu, then select the OK button to enter the pairing state, a 'BEEP' will be heard and a red-green light flashing means the radio is now in pairing status (APP requires Bluetooth permission, please make sure the Bluetooth status is on), The APP will search for active Bluetooth devices, and it will display as shown in Figure 1."

Questions 1-4) Based on the following statement from page 24, I suspect you may have to add channels to the unit's memory and/or assign channels to a scan list in order for the unit to know which channels to scan.
"[Scan]: Radio will begin scanning channels programmed in the scan list. Click Single CH or Dual Ch to turn off scanning."
You may have to set this function shown on page 26 for each channel you want to scan:
"[Allow Scan]: Allows the channel to be added to scan lists"
Scan-start and scan-end frequencies may also need to be defined:
Page 32:  "Click the Start frequency to set the lower frequency limit, and End to set the higher frequency limit. This will set the scan range of frequencies Click the >| to start the scan. Hit the ← next to SCAN to go back and stop scanning."

Question 5)  I don't see a menu selection for defining the scan mode described in the manual, though I am familiar with some other radios that allow the user to tailor the scan mode.

Question 6)  The manual describes the following process to add channels for specific frequencies:
Pg_49:  Adding A New Frequency Tip: The GMRS-PRO only allows the creation of new channels between channel groups 2-6
① Add a regular frequency Create a new frequency list in a new group, then press the [Enter] button to add to the channel list. Press the [UP] or [DOWN] keys to select the channel number. Press the [Edit] button to edit the frequency. Then press [Edit channel], and edit the frequency and memory settings to set your frequency.
②Add a GMRS frequency Create a new frequency list in a new Group, then press [Enter] button to the channel list, press up or down keys to select channel number. press [Edit] button to edit the frequency, Press [GMRS Channel] to select the Channel, then press [Edit channel], to set your frequency. If you add a GMRS frequency, all the restrictions stipulated by the FCC will take effect, and you can only modify the parts that are allowed to be modified, if you want to clear the GMRS channel information, you can select [Clear Channel].

As the gentleman said, don’t worry about any jargon. When I talk to my friend Dale, it’s just like talking on the phone. It’s obvious usually when someone has stopped so you don’t need to say Over. If someone says Roger to you that means “okay” and might mean they’re a ham or commercial radio operator. If they say Roger Roger, they’re definitely a ham. ?
I don’t have any idea when to use the word “break” except in “I need a break.“

No, because on GMRS we are normal people speaking normal English.. Speak/talk however you wish, but keep it family friendly.  If anyone tries telling you that you "cant" say 10-4, "cant" say "over", or "cant say" anything else, it's just their obsessive-compulsive power-trip showing itself and they should be ignored.
