mitzvah Posted May 6, 2021 Report Posted May 6, 2021 What does ori: "check mark" "yes" mean? How do I add 100 Hz Input and Out to a BTech GMRS-50X1 UNIT. Thank you Quote
0 rdunajewski Posted May 6, 2021 Report Posted May 6, 2021 A bit outdated now, but there was something called the Open Repeater Initiative that was proposed by Doug Smith of Popular Wireless. Repeater owners could declare their repeater was open for all licensed operators who follow the FCC rules, and not require permission to be given out. It was just a way to mark that your repeater adhered to that purpose. It will probably be removed in the next major website update which is steadily nearing completion. gizmofish 1 Quote
0 wayoverthere Posted May 6, 2021 Report Posted May 6, 2021 On the tones, the menu settings you want are t-ctcs and r-ctcs..make sure you're on the correct channel, then press the channel button (or the menu button on the mic) to get into the menu, roll through and press again to select the menu item, roll through the tones to 100.0, and press once more to confirm..them roll to the other and repeat. 0 PMHenry79 Posted May 6, 2021 Report Posted May 6, 2021 New to GMRS and BTech GMRS 50X-1 myself... I have been using CHIRP to do channel programming and playing with settings, found it to be much easier than trying to cycle through the menus on the radio itself. Give it a look and see if it helps.
