Can anyone near Yuma Az or Imperial county hit the unused 462.650 machine that has 79.7 in and 85.4 out ?

I stumbled across it never hear any one hailing on it sits dormant?

Have you tried transmitting to it? 

Just in case they advertised the wrong output tone, try listening on 462.650 MHz with no receive tone.

Well if I know the input and output tones one would think I know what I'm doing. Wondering if anyone besides me can hit it?

If you clear out the receive tone you’ll hear everything on the receive frequency.  Then, if the repeater is in use, you’ll know for sure if anyone besides you can hit it, assuming that you’re in range.

When people are new to the forum there is often an assumption that they are new to radio. Seems to be the case most of the time. But as in your case not always.

I have repeaters that sit dormant 6 months out of the year. Is there a reason it should be talking ? Mine are all closed so unless I'm on it or one of my friends its quiet.
