Well I took the Technician test on Saturday and passed.  So something this week I expect to receive my license and callsign.  They talked me in to sitting for the General test (there was no fee for testing at this location).  Missed a few too many on that one.  LOL.  I'll most likely take it next month since I was pretty close to passing it.

Congratulations! Keep watching the FCC website to see when your license call is granted and print out a copy of your license, or request that one be mailed. They do not mail out automatically any longer.

Checked earlier and they've already granted it.  I printed it out and saved it locally.  Updated my profile with the new callsign :)

That was fast service! I suggest carrying a small version in your wallet just so it's handy if ever questioned about radio gear... ;)

Just taking the exam for "General" helps prepare you for taking and passing it next time.

Very nice going.  I took my Tech test a week and a half ago and have not seen anything. I will be going for My General in a couple months.  I want to get on the air and play around a little bit.

there is a large cluster of repeaters in my area and a lot of chatter all times of the day and night.

have a great time and looking forward to maybe contacting a few of you soon.
