WSDB286
Can someone recommend a SWR/Power meter that will work on GMRS frequencies? I have a ghost antenna that they say is pre-tuned and does not need adjustment, but I don’t want to take the chance of frying my new GMRS radio. Or can someone direct me to a business that can check my SWR here in Oklahoma. Thanks Kenneth WSDB286 Edited July 1 by WSDB286
WRXR255
https://a.co/d/05f2SY1S Works for radios up to 100 watts. Its not a precision meter, but for GMRS its more than adequate.
OffRoaderX
FarsoMeter 2000 - measures in both imperial and metric and it is so accurate and precise that you need a license just to use it.. COBrien
@WSDB286, whereabouts in Oklahoma are you located? I have a McBazel/SureCom SW102 with SO-239 connectors I'd be willing to part with.

Thanks Kenneth WSDB286 You probably could get by simply turning down the output power and making sure that you are able to transmit and receive. If you can, go ahead and turn the power up. Most modern radios are not as susceptible to finals damage as a result of an impedance mismatch. I’ve transmitted into a high SWR without damaging a Radioddity db20g. I discovered I had too high of an SWR when people couldn’t hear me, so I put an analyzer on it and discovered it was well over 6:1.

Use one that looks very similar, but might need that "Farsometer 2000" label for mine
