Hoppyjr Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 Yeah. That's what the politicians tell you. Like if you don't vote you can't complain. Sure.Politicians don’t tell me that, common sense does.People that don’t vote are welcome to complain, but I won’t listen because they helped enable the problem. SteveShannon Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 Anybody can complain about the government. That’s part of the first amendment, but failing to vote means you missed your opportunity to do something about it. . WRUU653, BoxCar, Lscott and 3 others 6 Quote

When you finally come to the realization that the New World Order ensures that they own all candidates with even a remote chance of making it to the White House (always "R" or "D"), it becomes impossible to believe that we can vote our way out of this mess. State and local elections, depending on where you are, yes. I am becoming more and more convinced that all US House and Senate races are equally rigged. Quote

When you examine the issues facing the country it should be clear which path is best. I dropped my mail-in ballot in the dropbox the first day it was open in Maryland. I did my part and selected the candidate I want to win. Whether or not my vote makes a difference isn't for me to decide. I proudly did my part. WRUU653 1 Quote

Everyone remembers the statement the FCC sent out about January 6th incident outside of the capital, in regard to unlawful of two-way radios. I'm not exactly sure of how many of Protesters were Licensed for GMRS and HAM, then again, I can assume that there were more that had the radios but had no license. Apologize for posting something that's already obvious. Please Protest with respect and keep it civil! I think that the use of FRS radios, which don't need a license, when committing a felony would be a chargeable offense should the Federal government want to go that route. Quote

I guess it depends on what you call rigged and which “New World Order” you fear most and whether you think the country will look exactly the same if either candidate is elected in any of the races. it should be very obvious that the outcomes of the races aren’t predetermined. If they were, far less money would be spent both during the primaries and the general elections. But, yes, once the individual parties and PACs make a decision on whom they want to run there’s little individual voters can do but vote for the candidates the machines present us. Until something unexpected happens, like one candidate’s disastrous debate performance and the change in candidates that followed. I’m speaking only about the process of selecting and supporting candidates. I don’t want this to become a discussion that pits members of this forum against each other based on their personal choice of candidates. I will not engage in any discussion about why one party and candidate might be preferable to another. That would get this thread locked, removed, or at least moderated. Lscott Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 The real fun starts at the close of the poles Tuesday night. I'm keeping the battery packs for some of my radios fully charged and a few backups too. Also will make sure the gas tank is full the night before. Even some of the usually sane people at work are worried now. It shouldn't be like this. I have the NX-1300DUK5 FM/DMR radio all programmed up with D-Ring headset and spare battery pack. Have GMRS/FRS and Ham frequencies in it. https://forums.mygmrs.com/gallery/image/290-nx-1300duk5/?context=new WRYS709, WRXB215 and Raybestos 3 Quote

Lscott Posted November 1 Report Posted November 1 I remember the 1967 Detroit riots. If people don't think it can get bad after the election, well it happened once before, and it all started with a raid of an after hours bar. The National Guard had permission from the Governor to shoot and kill looters. Yes it was that serious. https://policing.umhistorylabs.lsa.umich.edu/s/detroitunderfire/page/days-of-the-uprising Quote
