WQAI363
I'm not going to remined folks what happened down in Washington DC, because most of us are aware of what activities are prohibited and what are permissible I would hate for the FCC step in and start placing more restrictions or simply eliminating services that we use for many different purposes. I don't want to say most troublemakers, are unlicensed, which may be true on Amateur Radio and GMRS, but I wouldn't know how to classify that on CB FRS or MURS, after all those radio services are licensed by rule, not individual licensed. I believe it's our responsibility to remind others that may pick up and press the PTT regardless of radio service to be respectful and use commonsense, so Big Brother doesn't have to do his job. WRQI663
What's that got to do with elections? FCC positions are appointed are they not? I am so sick of election coverage and all the baloney from both sides on the air and other 'news stations'. 2 year presidential election campaigns make me want to puke and in the end it's all lies anyway. I have election fatigue and wish it was all over and done with. I'm not 'picking sides' here and what I do is my business in the voting booth. Trying not to be political here, but really, enough is enough! Raybestos, Lscott, TrikeRadio and 3 others

Radioactive
Yeah Id "hate" government overeach myself. What "happened down in Washington" is a drop in the bucket compared to "what happened for 4 months all over the country" the prior summer. The tree of liberty is due a good watering and its coming sooner rather than later. Raybestos and WRQI663

If one doesn't vote then one can't complain about the results. I would urge everyone to go and vote for the candidate of your choice. I don't care who it is. One buddy in my coffee group said if he doesn't like any of the candidates he just writes his own name in on the ballot, but he does vote. CentralFloridaGMRS
I don't vote because I refuse to be part of a system that I don't believe in. You are in fact not picking a President. You are given two choices and you didn't even pick those two. The money being spent on elections is out of control. And by voting you're contributing to the circus. It also divides the country. I don't want any part of it. When I had my Business I didn't care who you voted for. That's how I feel about my friends. Ross Perot was a good candidate because he ran as an independent. I like him, and he received a large number of votes. But because of the system he had zero chance of winning. My right to vote also give me the right not to vote. Also when you vote for one of them you're giving them carte blanche to do whatever they want. WRUQ357 and Raybestos

WQAI363
From Looking at the Topic that I started, seems like my mind is on a coffee break. Everyone remembers the statement the FCC sent out about January 6th incident outside of the capital, in regard to unlawful of two-way radios. I'm not exactly sure of how many of Protesters were Licensed for GMRS and HAM, then again, I can assume that there were more that had the radios but had no license. Apologize for posting something that's already obvious. Please Protest with respect and keep it civil!

I have no intentions of protesting, no matter which way the election goes. That's just how it works. Whoever is elected will be my president, even if I disagree with them. And in two more years the cycle of campaigning will begin again. If I could change one thing it would be to prohibit campaigning until 30 days before the primaries. If they cannot make their case in 30 days they shouldn't be running. WSDD519, marcspaz and WRUQ357

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion, but sitting it out has the same effect as voting for the person you disagree with the most. When you examine the issues facing the country it should be clear which path is best. tcp2525

WRYZ926
All I can say is that is everyone's individual right to vote or not to vote. I have been stationed all over the world and there is still no where else I would want to live. I gave a good many years of my life defending the rights we hold dear. I only want to see everyone exercise those rights. GMRSJohn, Davichko5650, WRUU653 and 5 others 5
