I think I made my argument pretty clear in my comment, so please re-read it, but this time, try to pay attention. If, after re-reading, you are still confused, just ask a grown-up to explain it to you using simple-words you can understand. -

Its not 'propaganda' when it's true If what you propose is correct, it validates item #1 -

There is no way to know, because irregardlessly of what one particular untrustworthy pathological mythomaniac keeps telling us stories about, the FCC does not publish information on complaints. I could imagine that in some areas there are complaints, but whether its 1 complaint or 10,000 complaints, it does not matter as the FCCs public record on enforcement shows that, up until now at least, they execute near-zero GMRS related enforcement actions. -

It appears that you your self-professed autism has progressed into retardation. But thank you, for once again, demonstrating to everyone-here, multiple times, that nothing you say is to be believed or taken seriously. -

I dont think he's been spreading it as long as you have been spreading yours. You have been challenged REPEATEDLY to provide a source for your claims, and 100% of the time, you have provided nothing more than name calling in response. HOWEVER- I would guess that complaints have actually been filed - Filing a complaint with the FCCs is simple and i would also GUESS that they receive hundreds, if not thousands of complaints for various things every day. What matters is how many complaints [related to GMRS] does the FCCs ACT ON... and, based on the FCCs public enforcement database that anyone can search through, the answer is, virtually 0 .. -
almost certainly a cable/driver/Windows issue. same cable?

Double check that you are using the correct TX tone.. Double check that you looked up the tone correctly in the Mildand code-table, and double check that you entered it correctly, double check that you saved it correctly and double-check that you saved it to the correct REPEATER channel. If you still are not able to hit the repeater, drive closer.. if you are still not able to hit the repeater, then either you have the tone wrong, you entered it wrong, you're on the wrong channel, the repeater is down, your antenna is broken, or your radio is defective... ...and i doubt the repeater is down or the radio is defective.
-
Are you certain the tone is correct? and if you are certain, HOW are you certain?
-
When you let go of the transmit button, do you hear a static-blip/return from the repeater?
-
Sounds exactly like something an elitist H.A.M. would say...
-
A "pending case" is not an "enforcement", and for all intensive-purposes, is meaningless.

Yah, it's an elite group...

Can you name those parts of the country, and specify who decided it "was" a problem and spiraling out of control? -
As it should be! This is why I always push to buy things on Amazon - they make it VERY easy to return items for ANY reason.. Try that buying something direct from Chyna!

Your fars are limited more by the antenna and location than your RF-electricities, and the coverage radius is an estimate based on whatever the repeater-owner decided to enter, and it may not be based in reality at all.. Whether or not you can connect to/use the repeater depends on what is between you and the repeater.. if its up high on a mountain, with no other mountains in between you and it, then 20-miles is no problem.. If there are mountains, a forest, or miles of houses full of..gravitationally-enhanced people between you and the repeater, then you may not be able to reach it... The only way to know, is to try it.

Use T-DCS.. DCS, DPL, and DTC are all the same thing. You're welcome.

Which, of the thousands of listed repeaters are you referring to? Irregardlessly of which repeater you want to use, the basic steps are to request-access to the pacific repeater you wish to use. The repeater owner will then "approve" or deny your request and send you the TX and RX tone and channel/frequency.. IF the repeater you wish to use is "open", then no request is necessary and you should see all the info you need on the pacific page for the pacific repeater you want to use. IF you meant something else, please elaborate.
-
Depends on the repeater/repeater owner.. It could take anywhere from 5 minutes to never.
-
"all" the other GMRS repeater systems throughout the country are not shutting down.. Many are, but some will choose to wait until the FCC actually does/says something. This site is much more than just some linked GMRS repeaters, so, no, my guess is that there is zero reason for this site to shut down.
-
Yes.

FCC Shutdown of New York GMRS Linked Repeater System
OffRoaderX replied to OffRoaderX's topic in FCC Rules Discussion
Today's update: TL;DW: Linked repeater networks in Texas, Arizona, North Carlina and Arkansas have shut down in the last 24 hours. -
no, it does not sound like you are missing anything. Double check the tone in your Midland table, and if possible, confirm that the tone for the repeater is correct.. It is possible that the repeater/tone you are configuring is no longer online, and you are hearing a different repeater.
