March 2024 Update from Bastrop, Tx.
Alamo/New Braunfels is my closest repeater on the Alamo network. It is 70 miles away and pegs the meter on my KG-1000. Yesterday, I did a radio check and spoke to a 2 mobile units at both ends of 1604, east side and west side. They were as clear as day on my end and they heard me LC.

  Yes, we are a network of linked repeaters so, when someone it transmitting on say the Live Oak (NE) Repeater, all the other repeaters and nodes connected to the hub are also broadcasting that transmission.  You can look at our status page and see what repeaters are connected and when someone is transmitting.  http://www.alamocitygmrs.com/supermon/link.php?nodes=1510,1512,1513,1680,1684

Added our 6th Repeater, the Media Lake 675 is now connected!!
 Also note, the LaVernia550 is now the LaVerina600 and was upgraded to Bridgecom 40W 100% duty cycle repeater. Still some bugs in the local RF audio but still very usable and seems to be performing better then the previous repeater setup.

 Keep an eye out for a San Marcos repeater soon.  And of course, if you are interested an setting up a Bastrop station, we are here to help. Sounds like you have the antenna already! 

Try the Leon Valley 650 repeater. Play around with your antenna placement. Just moving it a few feet the right direct can make the difference when you are using less than ideal antenna setup.

Update 1/23/22: We are up to 5 linked repeaters with 6th being planned in San Marcos. If you are in the area, throw out a call sign and see who’s monitoring!

The ability to hide our full street address when someone looks up our call sign!!!! 
 City and state are fine but why show them our full physical street address? 
 

That Alamo575 site is hosting some RF Uplinks for the new repeaters so Jon took the 575 offline to avoid interfering with the RF link radios.  He's pretty busy with real life but he'll get around to updating his website.
  I also removed the Cibolo725 since I'm hosting a RF link and was completely covered up by the NE and NW repeaters.

Db8 is due here on the 26th, had to go with lmr600 vice 7/8 as they were out of stock.  Got a 43 push-up mast and will get it up end of may, then dig out the vertex and make sure it’s still working.  Let me get it up and running with some testing to see how it performs.

I work in Briggs and can hit the Troy repeater no problem! I start to lose it when I hit Liberty Hill on my way home, then I switch to the Flintrock Hill repeater outside of Austin

There's a repeater in Troy that has a lot of coverage.  I can hear it most of the way down 36 between Belton and Gatesville.  I start hearing it where 130 meets 35 but not fully clear until the 35 rest stop. 
 Never had any luck with the Oglesby repeater.

Up north in Copperas Cove, (Ft Hood) I can sometimes get Oglesby but nothing from the south. Austin has the local repeaters that don't reach far. I can sometimes get one when I visit family in Phlugerville.  But it don't quite reach Round Rock.  Going up to Shreveport when I lose Oglesby in about 45 minutes I start picking up Tyler, that gets me pretty close to Shreveport, But there is NOTHING there.

Just retired myself here in New Braunfels.  Will be setting up a vertex 7000 with either a db4 or db8 antenna in the coming few months and do some testing.

Forgot to add: I have the base station up and running with a KG1000. If the weather breaks a bit, this week I'm removing the temp antenna mast (PVC) and installing a permanent metal mast/ grounding. So I'm ready for San Marcos ?
