I have never messed with any of those settings on my 7000.. For me, those are in the "if you dont know what they do, dont F with them" category..
The only other thing you might want to enable is the Courtesy Blip, aka the RRB or Repeater Roger Beep.
The narrowband thing is a PITB .. To get around it you have to set your computer clock back to something like 2003 before you open the software - then you can keep your wideband setting.

I didn't have to change any clock settings to enable wide band on my repeater. I just created a desktop short cut to the application and added the "-d" switch to the filename string in this format: <filename>.exe -d
That's what worked for me, though your mileage may vary...

Found it!!! One,  two sentence paragraph that basically says "enable via the dealer programming".
There's a GMRS repeater in Northern Michigan I'm on all summer long. His repeater has voice identification with a hot chicks voice and I kinda liked it...  My Vertex has only been online for 36 hours replacing a couple Motorola mobiles. I should be content with the upgrade. But, that voice... 😍

I know... A major university with way deeper pockets then most. They could justify and spend $50,000 on a system of their own and no one would bat an eye..

I believe that university was grandfathered on that frequency.  They have been using it since the 80s (that I know of) when it was a licensed frequency.  I read that previously licensed businesses can keep the license as long as then dont make any changes.

Yeah, and it’d be relatively simple if they were simplex only. They could make it even easier if they used those DTR 900 MHz units if they want no license for simplex only, I’m sure any number of dealers would be willing to sell a pallet of those to them. Lots of good options out there really

Personally (and I emphasize that) I’d call their IT director and tell them to man up and apply for a Part 90 license but that’s just me

    As others said...batlabs...

The RICK is very basic. Make sure your M1225 is set for Pin 8 COR (PL/CSQ Detect). Set dip switch in RICK. It a pretty simple devise. Used hundreds over the years with x-band repeaters, in band and everything in between. First came out for the Maxtrax but can be used on everything including current radios with proper cables.

This site has a lot of info on repeater building. There are specific pages for different manufacturers. You might find something here.
