Welcome, Michael, to GMRS and this Forum.
This is an excellent source for answers to your questions.
Looks like the open 725 Repeater in Paynesville might be closest to you.
It's these types of insults hurled by @gortex2and you, that invalidate the rest of your comments; so that there is no point in trying to respond; rationally or otherwise!
And now back to our sponsor: the debate about petitioning to add VHF frequencies to GMRS...
I am going to say this very slowly, so you can follow it:
If you want to TROLL me, be my guest, but at least ask questions that make sense:
But if my response answers someone else's question and you don't like my answer, either respond with your own pearls of wisdom, or try to be an angel and send out positive vibes!
FCC regs: Part 95(e) would prohibit a manufacturer of a GMRS radio to transmit on MURS as well. So you have to look outside of GMRS radios to get one radio to do both.
I achieved this on my original Baofeng UV-5Rs and later on my Anytone AT-779UV a/k/a Radioddity DB20-G after "opening" up its ability to transmit on more than just GMRS (to Ham 2 meters and 70 cms and MURS).
The other possible interpretation of:
Is that you just don't think...
Insults are easy to hurl; doesn't take much thinking at all!
Put in other words, you thought wrong!
It is indisputable that you took a thread about MURS and went off on a repeater tangent.
I chose to point it out with a joke (and yes, jokes don't always have to be funny; sometimes they make fun of the person joked about) and you are going off writing volumes about it!
I'll let you have the last word on this point...
NEVER say never, Keith; it only takes one example to disprove an absolute statement:
Concept: Dual HT Repeater using MURS Bridge
And, indeed, you did hijack this thread about MURS to talk about Repeaters!
To which I replied:
Or was it bridge building?!? ?
I was first licensed as a Novice in 1961 and have continuously held my license up to Amateur Extra (back in the old Morse Code days) since then.
My comment was intended for some “insiders” here and…
The sideways laughing emoticon tells the uninitiated that this is a joke!
So my comments have a little place here.
Very little! ?
I don't have a KG-935, but have you downloaded and installed the Wouxun software (and purchased a USB cable):
