Hi everyone,

I’m relatively new to GMRS and currently have a few Wouxun KG-935G Plus handhelds and a couple of KG-1000G Plus base units. I’m using CHIRP and Wouxun’s software for programming.

I’d love to connect with someone more experienced who might have an improved code plug that I could apply to my radios. I’m located in the Cornelius/Lake Norman area.

Thanks so much for your help!

Read the one that’s already on the radio. You should always do that first anyway. Then look at what you want to change, which will be unique to your location. Change or add channels as needed and then write it back to the radio.

I learned to work my way around the Map on this site and find the repeaters close enough to me that I could hit and programmed those tones. I have learned and grown slowly and by asking questions. Glad to help if I can. I use the KG 935t myself and enjoy that radio.
