WSBS425
Hi everyone, I’m relatively new to GMRS and currently have a few Wouxun KG-935G Plus handhelds and a couple of KG-1000G Plus base units. I’m using CHIRP and Wouxun’s software for programming. I’d love to connect with someone more experienced who might have an improved code plug that I could apply to my radios. I’m located in the Cornelius/Lake Norman area. Thanks so much for your help!
WRXB215
@WSBS425 Do you just need an example or are you looking for one that has the repeaters in your area? AdmiralCochrane
AdmiralCochrane
I agree, it's not like DMR If someone doesn't live in the same town as you, a code plug is not likely to be particularly useful. RayDiddio and WRXB215

Then look at what you want to change, which will be unique to your location. Change or add channels as needed and then write it back to the radio. WRUU653
I would add, read the one that's on the radio, leave it unchanged and save it, then download another to make changes to and upload that. I find if you have a back up to go back to you probably wont need it but if you don't have one you absolutely will wish you did. I learned to work my way around the Map on this site and find the repeaters close enough to me that I could hit and programmed those tones. I have learned and grown slowly and by asking questions. Glad to help if I can. I use the KG 935t myself and enjoy that radio.
