kirk5056 Posted September 8, 2023 Report Posted September 8, 2023 Driving to Moab UT tomorrow, for a week. I thought I would try this sign. They were made by friends, for free. They could not find magnetic sign material on short notice (which I would rather have). I guess I will see if I get any takers. SteveShannon, marcspaz and WRXE693 3 Quote
OffRoaderX Posted September 8, 2023 Report Posted September 8, 2023 Looks good but you have the wrong channel! Everyone knows it should be CH19.. But, also, i think the "average" GMRS/FRS adventurer probably does not know what a "PL" is, and probably does not know how to set/change it. Of course, the radio-dorks do, but nobody wants to talk with them. WRXE693, kirk5056, H8SPVMT and 3 others 6 Quote
marcspaz Posted September 8, 2023 Report Posted September 8, 2023 Those are pretty neat! I think if you're going to be traveling a lot, that can be something to help keep you company while driving. I was supposed to be going to Moab, but I get very sick twice this year. We rescheduled for August of 2024. We're going to do some desert runs in SoCal, the Rubicon, Black Bear Pass, then head to Utah. Planning 3 weeks in total. WRXB215 and Sab02r 2 Quote

WRUQ357 Posted September 15, 2023 Report Posted September 15, 2023 I'm new to myGMRS.com and was just browsing the forum. I actually just ordered some window vynel stickers for the back window of our travel trailer. Simply stating GMRS CH. 19. I remember seeing similar stickers on the back of motorhomes traveling down the highway. Quote

As far as I understand you cannot operate on CH19 and CH21 North of Line A. So, for me travel channel would be CH20. https://www.fcc.gov/reports-research/maps/frequency-coordination-canada/ Quote Licensees who operate North of Line A and East of Line C may not operate on channels 462.650 MHZ,467.650 MHZ, 462.700 MHZ and 467.700 MHZ unless your previous license authorized such operations. gortex2 and wayoverthere 2 Quote
