Easy use phonetics any suggestion

Was thinking of using funny phonetics for Callsign on radio 

any kind of suggestions?

On GMRS all phonetics are funny because they aren't necessary and many people laugh at them.

Necessary or not, phonetics are helpful on any radio service (not as much though on ones that don't have callsigns).  I even sometimes use phonetics on the phone but some of the dippity-doos have trouble understanding them.

My suggestion would be to not make up new ones. Just use the ones that already exist. The whole point is to have clear communications. That is why the phonetic alphabet came into existence in the first place.

Except that most of them have changed since the late 1950s to what we have now... because people made up new ones.

I'll stick with the phonetic alphabet that I learned in the military, which is the same as most amateur radio operators also use. It is not hard to learn.

There's one from Alaska I hear on nets sometimes that uses "Frozen Radio" for the FR in his call

I have heard a Ham near me with MTW in their call use Monday Tuesday Wednesday. It may not be traditional but it couldn't be easier to understand. I like it.

Frankly, unless someone requests your call sign phonetically because they cannot understand it when you ID, I wouldn’t use phonetics.  Use your names and ID with your call sign.

And, if someone does ask for it phonetically, you’re more assured of them hearing it correctly if you use the NATO phonetics.  They were chosen to reduce the chance of misunderstanding by people with accents, and people who natively speak other languages.  That’s important to the military and to hams who might be communicating with hams internationally, but has less importance for GMRS, where coverage is limited to within the USA.

I agree, THE standard phonetic alphabet is THE standard and there need not be a 'second standard'

 

Just the same, often a simple nmeonic is helpful.  A ham near me has a call sign ending in NRS - he tells people he is "not real smart"
